
Why Taiwan's President Lai Ching-te was taken to a secret command centre during war drills
Taiwan conducted a high-level security exercise late on Wednesday, simulating a decapitation strike targeting President Lai Ching-te. An armoured vehicle moved the President to a secret command centre during the Han Kuang drills. Spokesperson Karen Kuo said the drill ensured the government can continue operating effectively and safeguarding national security.
