
RBI eases compliance for certification of KYC copies for foreign portfolio investors
The Reserve Bank of India eased compliance for foreign portfolio investors on 2026. Banks can now accept original certified KYC documents from authorised overseas officials. This change helps investors avoid extra processes in India. While FPI outflows reached Rs 23,676 crore this month, the bank still requires strict KYC checks.
