At a Halloween event in Florida, President Trump told reporters that Alina Habba Mildon's lucrative work for someone seeking a pardon was "not acceptable."

President Trump on Saturday strongly criticized his former lawyer, Alina Habba Mildon, saying it was "totally obnoxious and outrageous" for her to enter into a $50 million deal for work with a billionaire Venezuelan family seeking a pardon from the president.

Mrs. Mildon, while working as a senior adviser at the Justice Department, signed on last year as an extraordinarily well-compensated general counsel for a company started by the daughter of Julio Herrera Velutini, who was granted the pardon by Mr. Trump weeks later.

At a Halloween party on Saturday at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Fla., Mr. Trump tore into Mrs. Mildon when asked about the contract, calling it "not acceptable."
