WASHINGTON, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Democrat Janelle Stelson defeated US Representative Scott Perry of Pennsylvania on Tuesday, according to US media, flipping a Republican-held seat in a presidential battleground state.

Stelson is a former television news anchor who narrowly lost to Perry in 2024.

The Harrisburg-area seat is one of four Republican-held Pennsylvania districts that Democrats sought to flip this cycle. President Donald Trump carried Perry's district by 5 percentage points in 2024.

Nationally, Democrats need to net four seats to win control of the US House of Representatives.
