Bengaluru-based mobile gaming studio Spill Games has raised $10.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Elevation Capital, with existing investors Centre Court Capital and PeerCapital also participating.
Founded in 2024 by former PlaySimple Games executives Om Misra, Tapan Ranjan and Harsh Garg, Spill develops free-to-play casual, puzzle and hybrid-casual mobile games for global markets.
The company will use the fresh capital to expand games showing promising performance, develop new titles, strengthen its technology and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, invest in user acquisition and selectively hire more employees.
Spill said the number of its games showing potential to scale profitably has doubled from three to six in less than three months.
How Spill uses data and AI to develop games
Spill follows a portfolio-based approach, developing multiple game concepts and testing them with players before deciding which ones deserve further investment. It uses data on player retention, engagement, monetisation and user acquisition to assess each game's performance.
At the centre of this strategy is Compass, its proprietary technology platform, which combines tools for analytics, player retention, monetisation and live operations.
The company said its AI-led processes have made game development around four times faster than traditional approaches by reducing the time required to build and test games.
" We believe the next decade will see the rise of AI-native gaming studios that pair AI with strong product instinct, data and rapid experimentation," said Manish Advani, principal at Elevation Capital.
The latest funding follows Spill's $3.1 million seed round in April 2026.
Targeting the global mobile gaming market
Spill is targeting international markets with games developed in India. It earns revenue through advertising and in-app purchases, in which players pay for additional features or content within a game.
According to Grand View Research, the global mobile gaming market is estimated to be worth $176.7 billion in 2026 and is projected to reach $256.2 billion by 2030.
Spill's expansion comes as gaming studios compete to attract and retain players, using data and faster development cycles to identify successful titles and allocate investment accordingly.
