The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is a new flagship smartphone that features three 200MP rear cameras. It offers premium performance and a solid design, though it comes at a price of ₹1,99,999. Many users might find the device heavy, but it remains one of the best Android phones this season.

Oppo has consistently pushed the boundaries of smartphone innovation with its flagship Find X series. Earlier this year, the Find X9 Ultra raised the bar for mobile photography. Now, the brand is back with the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max: a flagship that blurs the line between the Find X9 Pro and Find X9 Ultra. Yet, after spending time with it, I feel the X10 Pro Max deserves to stand on its own.

At first glance, the phone bears a striking resemblance to the Find X9 Pro. However, its camera system tells a very different story. With three 200MP rear cameras, the Find X10 Pro Max takes smartphone photography to an entirely new level. It also packs flagship-grade performance, a premium design and features that justify its position at the very top of Oppo's lineup.

But this comes at a price of ₹1,99,999. The Find X10 Pro Max is among the most expensive conventional smartphones on the market, making it a serious investment for anyone who wants the best Android has to offer. So, does Oppo's latest flagship deliver enough to justify its premium positioning? And more importantly, is the Find X10 Pro Max the best flagship smartphone of the season? Let's find out.

Design

The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max comes in two variants: Titanium Grey and Lumos White. My review unit is the Titanium Grey version. It feels understated and premium. The Lumos White variant is slightly lighter and features a textured glass back. My unit, however, misses both the Hasselblad branding and the textured finish. The rest of the design remains largely identical.

The phone is big and wide, measuring 161.32mm in height and 76.57mm in width. At 235g, it has considerable heft. However, the weight distribution keeps it balanced in the hand. Oppo has retained the separate camera and flash modules, which make the phone slightly top-heavy. Unlike the Find X9 Ultra, though, the X10 Pro Max does not wear its camera credentials so boldly. The Ultra's massive circular camera island made photography its design identity. Here, Oppo takes a more restrained approach.

The metal frame adds to the premium feel, while the flat edges make the device easier to grip. The right side houses the power and volume buttons, while the left gets the customisable Snap Key. The bottom includes the USB-C port, SIM tray, microphone and speaker. The Snap Key is useful for quickly accessing functions such as the flashlight, recorder or AI Mind Space. However, I would have liked more customisation options for shortcuts.

Turn the phone around, and the front looks equally premium. The large display is surrounded by slim, symmetrical bezels, creating an immersive viewing experience. The phone also carries IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. This reassures the owners of a device that costs nearly ₹2,00,000.

Overall, the design feels refined rather than radical, and that works in its favour.

Display

The Find X10 Pro Max features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 2772 x 1272-pixel resolution. It supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, with 144Hz available in supported games. Scrolling feels fluid, animations remain smooth, and the screen responds quickly to touch. The display also supports 10-bit colour, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. This makes it an excellent choice for watching movies, editing photographs and gaming.

Brightness reaches 2,000 nits in high-brightness mode, while the panel supports 3,840Hz PWM dimming. The display remains vibrant and comfortable across different lighting conditions. Compared with the Find X9 Pro, the X10 Pro Max brings a higher gaming refresh rate. However, the Find X9 Ultra still offers a sharper 3168 x 1440 resolution. For everyday users, the X10 Pro Max delivers a rich and immersive display.

OS and AI

The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max runs Android 17 with ColorOS 17. Oppo has continued refining its software, and the experience feels smooth and intuitive. Animations are fluid, app switching is seamless, and the interface offers plenty of customisation. ColorOS has gradually become one of my favourite Android interfaces. It feels feature-rich without making everyday tasks unnecessarily complicated.

AI is another important part of the experience. AI Mind Space helps capture and organise information, while Oppo's AI tools offer assistance with content and image editing. The camera also gets an AI photography assistant that identifies promising frames and adjusts settings automatically.

Performance

The Find X10 Pro Max is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro, built on a 2nm process. My review unit comes with 12GB RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The combination delivers excellent performance across everyday tasks. Apps open quickly, multi-tasking remains smooth, and switching between demanding applications feels effortless.

The benchmark figures reflect its flagship credentials. The phone scored 2,578 in Geekbench single-core and 9,320 in multi-core tests. Its GPU score reached 19,799, while AnTuTu recorded 4,224,761. The Find X9 Pro scored 3,265 in single-core and 9,526 in multi-core, with an AnTuTu score of 3.37 million. The Find X9 Ultra, powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, scored 3,630 and 10,698 in Geekbench, alongside a GPU score of 24,342 and AnTuTu score of 3,950,984. The X10 Pro Max leads in overall AnTuTu performance, but the Ultra retains stronger CPU and GPU benchmark figures.

In real-world use, the phone feels exceptionally smooth. Gaming performance is excellent, with demanding titles running comfortably. The powerful GPU and high-refresh-rate display make gameplay immersive. More importantly, the phone does not get uncomfortably warm during extended gaming or heavy use. This is where Oppo's optimisation makes a difference. Performance remains consistent, and I did not experience noticeable heating during my review.

The only disappointment is the bloatware. A phone in this price segment should offer a cleaner software experience. Apart from that, ColorOS 17 feels polished, and the Dimensity 9600 Pro delivers the kind of performance expected from a premium flagship.

Camera

The Find X10 Pro Max packs a 650MP camera system, including three 200MP rear cameras and a 50MP front camera. The rear setup includes a 200MP main sensor, a 200MP ultrawide and a 200MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The system is supported by Hasselblad tuning and Oppo's LUMO image processing. For photography, this is easily one of the most ambitious smartphone camera systems available.

The main camera captures detailed photographs with excellent dynamic range. Colours look rich without appearing artificial, while highlights and shadows remain well balanced. The ultrawide camera is equally impressive, retaining detail across the frame. Night photography is another strength. Images remain bright, detailed and controlled, with noise kept in check. The camera system does an excellent job of preserving the atmosphere of a scene instead of making every photograph look artificially bright.

Portrait photography is where the telephoto camera truly shines. The 3x optical zoom produces natural-looking background blur, with impressive subject separation and clean edges. The bokeh effect feels close to what you would expect from a dedicated camera. The AI photography assistant adds another layer of convenience, helping identify frames worth capturing and adjusting settings automatically. It is a feature that makes photography more accessible without taking away the joy of shooting.

The 50MP selfie camera captures detailed and natural-looking images. Skin tones remain balanced, while portrait selfies offer pleasing background separation. Compared with the Find X9 Ultra, the X10 Pro Max offers a more versatile ultrawide camera and a newer imaging platform. However, the Ultra retains its dedicated 10x optical camera, giving it an advantage for distant subjects. The X10 Pro Max is not a replacement for a DSLR, but its camera capabilities are exceptional. For everyday photography, portraits and low-light shots, it deserves a 10/10.

Battery

The Find X10 Pro Max packs an 8,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery in the Indian variant. It easily lasts two days with moderate use. Even with photography, gaming, navigation and video streaming, the battery offers excellent endurance. This is a meaningful upgrade over the Find X9 Ultra's 7,050 mAh battery, while the Find X9 Pro's 7,500 mAh cell also falls behind.

Charging supports 80W SUPERVOOC wired and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. The wired charging is quick enough to replenish the battery without requiring an overnight charge. Wireless charging adds convenience, especially for users who prefer keeping their phones topped up throughout the day. The battery is one of the phone's strongest features, complementing its camera and performance, rather than limiting them.

Verdict

The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is not simply a bridge between the Find X9 Pro and Find X9 Ultra. It is a flagship in its own right, with a powerful camera system, excellent performance, a premium display and outstanding battery life. The triple-200MP cameras are its biggest strength, while the Dimensity 9600 Pro and ColorOS 17 make it a complete package. The bloatware and premium pricing remain its biggest drawbacks.

At ₹1,99,999, the Find X10 Pro Max competes with the iPhone 18 Pro Max and Google Pixel 11 Pro XL. The iPhone remains a strong choice for users invested in Apple's ecosystem, while the Pixel focuses on computational photography and AI. Oppo, however, brings a more ambitious camera hardware package and exceptional battery endurance.

The Find X9 Ultra still offers greater optical zoom reach, but the X10 Pro Max improves the overall balance. If you want a flagship that can capture almost anything, perform without compromise and last two days, Oppo has delivered. It is expensive, but it makes a compelling case for being one of the best Android flagships of the season.
