More than a year after introducing GCC-as-a-Service, LTM creates a dedicated business unit as TCS, Infosys and other technology companies expand their offerings for multinational firms setting up in-house centres
LTM (formerly LTIMindtree) has launched GCC Origin, a dedicated business unit to help enterprises establish, operate, scale and transform global capability centres (GCCs) in India, as technology services companies step up efforts to tap growing demand for such centres.
The move formalises LTM's GCC-as-a-Service offering, launched in July 2025, into a standalone business with dedicated leadership, sales and delivery teams, specialist expertise and significant investment. Shailendra Singh will lead the unit and report to Venu Lambu, CEO and Managing Director, LTM.
The launch reflects a broader industry trend, with Indian IT services companies and workforce solutions providers developing specialised offerings to help multinational corporations establish and expand their technology and business operations in the country.
Quess Corp launched its GCC-as-a-Service offering, Origint, in June 2025. Infosys unveiled its AI-First GCC Model in November 2025, while Tata Consultancy Services launched its Global Value & Innovation Centres business unit in June 2026. Cognizant, HCLTech, Wipro, Accenture and Tech Mahindra are also targeting the market through dedicated practices and services.
GCC Origin integrates strategy, artificial intelligence (AI), technology, talent, infrastructure, operations and ecosystem partnerships. Its services include site selection, workplace and infrastructure development, operational readiness and turnkey facilities across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.
The unit will leverage BlueVerse, LTM's agentic AI ecosystem, to help enterprises establish new GCCs and transform existing centres into AI-native operations. Its offerings span strategy and advisory, talent acquisition and development, AI agents and studios, automation, business operations and the transfer of capabilities and operational ownership.
Clients can opt for the entire GCC lifecycle or individual services through models such as Assisted GCC, Build-Operate-Transform-Transfer, Virtual GCC, joint ventures, staff augmentation and Hire-Operate-Transfer.
"The role of the GCC has changed. Enterprises no longer set them up to cut costs, they want them to create value from day one and to own capabilities that shape the business. Increasingly, that means AI. GCC Origin is built for that shift, helping enterprises create GCCs that are agentic by design. Its modular model lets clients build, operate and transform GCCs around their priorities, accelerating the path from setup to business value," Mr. Lambu said.
When it launched GCC-as-a-Service in July 2025, LTM had positioned the offering as an AI-powered model covering the Build, Operate, Transform and Transfer stages, with per-seat or per-service pricing.
"GCCs are becoming strategic centers for industry-specific transformation and efficiency. LTIMindtree's GCC-as-a-Service helps enterprises build, scale, and evolve their GCCs into global innovation hubs, leveraging our BlueVerse ecosystem to drive next-gen capabilities and gain a competitive edge with scalable, responsible AI," Mr. Lambu had said.
The latest initiative places greater emphasis on AI-native operations, flexible ownership structures and integrating infrastructure, talent and business operations under one model.
