Alphabet-owner has launched its experimental personal intelligence app Dreambeans in India. The application, which was built by Google Labs, creates a personalised daily collection of stories.
The app creates water-colour style imageries every day by connecting different Google applications like Photos, Email, Calendar and others that are linked to the user.
The company has said that the app processes data from Google apps that the user has opted into. If an app is not linked to Dreambeans, then information from that application is not included in the content created in the experimental AI app.
This standalone app was first rolled out to both Android and iOS users in the US in September. In India, Dreambeans is available on Android and iOS across 14 languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
In terms of privacy, Google says that users can change apps that are connected to Dreambeans, and that they can also delete their data by clicking the profile icon in the AI app.
The company has also said that the opt-ins made in Dreambeans do not affect choices made in Gemini or AI Mode.
The search giant has also said that the app can hallucinate, and, at certain times, create stories that are incorrect. In such scenarios, the company recommends users to tap a “thumbs down” to fine-tune the app.
