Tesla revealed a flying Roadster on Thursday, October 15, performing midair flips using thrusters. Fans quickly trolled Rockstar Games, saying, "We got flying cars before GTA 6." While the game trailer got 20 million views, many people used social media to joke about the long wait for the new game.
Tesla has introduced a groundbreaking flying variant of its iconic Roadster, exhibiting exceptional aerial performance and agility. Following this reveal, electric enthusiasm soared among automotive enthusiasts about the potential of airborne vehicles. Meanwhile, some fans expressed frustration over the postponement of GTA VI. The game trailer captivated audiences, amassing over 20 million views shortly after its launch, yet the Roadster's performance has reignited excitement around futuristic transport innovations.
Flying cars may not be a sci-fi thing anymore, and could be more realistic, even more than the most anticipated game of 2026, GTA VI. A few hours after Rockstar released an explosive trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI on Thursday, October 15, Elon Musk's new Tesla Roadster exploded its flying entry with the help of thrusters.
The vehicle was flying in the air, performed a midair flip, and accelerated from zero to 60 mph within seconds. "Turns out the future does have flying cars," Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said on X, with a video.
Tesla showcased Roadster's jaw-dropping acceleration when it climbed up a major curved ramp and attached to the surface using a fan-based suction while completely upside down. Then it launched off from the ramp, flipped midair, and landed on the ground safely.
In another astonishing video shared by Musk, the Roadster launched over a lineup of cars, including a Tesla semi-truck, flipped midair, and landed on the other side.
With the Flying cars, influential fans of Tesla flew flying praise for it, "The FSD version of this will be something:) congrats!" wrote Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google. Musk, in reply, thanked engineers.
But Fans of both Tesla and GTA VI are apparently torn between the happiness of seeing flying cars and witnessing the delayed release of the game.
One of the X accounts, followed by Elon Musk, wrote, "wait, we actually got flying cars before GTA VI," with laughing and crying emojis.
GTA countdown, another massively fan-followed account shared their frustration, "WE GOT FLYING CARS BEFORE GTA 6," and obviously with a crying emoji.
However, the 1.30 minute GTA VI trailer, which had new visuals, created its own turf to contest, in terms of views. Within hours, it crossed 20 million views with ease, and in X it was viewed over 37 million times.
GTA VI is to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19 this year, but no date was announced for PC players who might have witnessed another milestone of Roadster before Rockstar does finally released the game, without any more delays.
