Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk wants to start a competitor of Amazon. The billionaire stated this on social media site X, which he owns as well.

Musk's statement came in reply to an X user who complained that Amazon is blocking Grok bots from ordering.

"Amazon is blocking Grok @bots from ordering, and Elon's answer is just have your bot buy it somewhere else. One of my Grok bots only handles my Amazon returns, so I'm watching this one closely," said a person who goes by the name Nick.

Responding to the allegations, Musk tweeted, "Maybe we should start a competitor to Amazon."

It is not apparent whether he was saying this in jest or the billionaire was serious.

Meanwhile, Nick replied saying, "I would sign up in a heartbeat !! Fast delivery should be included in your X subscription."

Another X user suggested a name,

xshop.

While another said why not just buy Amazon.

Elon Musk is the richest person in the world with a networth over $900 billion while Jeff Bezos follows him with $370 billion wealth.

Musk and Bezos' rivalary is also quite old. According to Business Insider, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos have sparred for years, often publicly, ever since a reported contentious dinner they had in 2004. They both compete in the space sector - Musk has SpaceX while Bezos has Blue Origin.
