BTS member V celebrated Diwali with Indian fans on November 8 after they shared festive traditions on Weverse. He greeted everyone with "Diwali Mubarak!" in Hindi and reacted to AI photos of the group in kurtas. V said, "The clothes are pretty," while learning about popular Indian sweets like gulab jamun.

BTS' Kim Taehyung, better known as V, got a taste of Diwali celebrations from Indian ARMY this year. As fans marked the festival on November 8, they took to Weverse to introduce him to the festivities. V played along, asked a few questions, showed interest in some desi treats and even greeted everyone with a cheerful "Diwali Mubarak!" in Hindi.

It all started when an Indian fan told him about Diwali and shared some festive sweets virtually. V was curious to know more and asked, "What kind of festival is Diwali? I'm curious." Fans didn't take long to explain the celebrations and traditions.

And then came the Hindi greeting. V wished Indian fans "Diwali Mubarak!", sending ARMY into a frenzy. But the desi surprises weren't over just yet.

A picture of gulab jamun also made its way into the exchange, giving the singer a little introduction to India's festive food.

The singer also spotted fan-made AI pictures of all seven BTS members dressed in traditional Indian outfits. The images showed the group in colourful kurtas, with diyas and fireworks completing the festive setting. V seemed impressed with the styling and commented, "The clothes are pretty." Needless to say, Indian fans had another reason to celebrate.

For those who don't follow the group closely, V is one of BTS' seven members, alongside RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin and Jungkook. Born Kim Taehyung, the singer made his solo debut in September 2023 with the album Layover, featuring tracks such as Love Me Again and Slow Dancing. He has also explored acting, making his debut in the historical drama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth in 2016.

BTS, meanwhile, are back together following the members' individual military service commitments. The group released their fifth studio album, ARIRANG, in March 2026 and have been gearing up for their next chapter together.
