Synopsis
Apple has implemented a buying limit on its official online store for iPhones to manage sales during the festive season. Shoppers can now purchase only two iPhones, whether they're identical models or different ones. If users try to check out with a third unit, they will receive a warning that halts the transaction.
Apple has introduced a purchase limit on its official online store, allowing customers to buy a maximum of two iPhones per customer. The restriction is particularly important for those planning to purchase multiple devices for family members or as gifts during the festive season.
The limit applies to the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo, as well as the company's active iPhone lineup listed on its online store, according to a Times of India report.
Can You Buy Two Different iPhone Models In One Order?
Customers can purchase two units of the same iPhone model or choose two different models in a single order. Once a customer attempts to add a third iPhone to the cart, the system blocks the purchase and prevents checkout from proceeding.
When someone tries to purchase more than two products at a time the apple website will automatically show “A maximum of 2 iPhone can be purchased per customer. Please adjust the total quantity of iPhone in your order before checking out.”

Third iPhone Triggers Checkout Warning
If a customer attempts to add a third iPhone to the cart, Apple’s checkout system blocks the order and displays a warning. The restriction applies even if the additional handset differs in model, storage capacity or colour from the first two devices.
Apple Has Used iPhone Purchase Limits Before
Apple has imposed purchase restrictions in the past. When the first iPhone was launched in 2007, the company limited customers to two units per person to discourage reselling.
The policy aims to curb bulk buying and ensure that limited stocks, particularly during product launches, are available to a wider pool of customers.
