Rachin Ravindra and Mark Chapman will miss the upcoming five-match ODI series against India due to injuries. New Zealand Cricket said, "Chapman's left hamstring requires another two weeks of rehabilitation." Tim Seifert and other replacements joined the squad as the team prepares for the opening match at Eden Park on Wednesday.

New Zealand duo Rachin Ravindra and Mark Chapman have been ruled out of the side's upcoming five-match ODI series against India as they recover from injuries.

"A recent MRI showed Chapman's left hamstring requires another two weeks of rehabilitation before he is fully fit to return to the field, whilst Ravindra's right shoulder requires more recovery time before he's able to field at full capacity," New Zealand Cricket said in a statement.

Tim Seifert, who had been selected for the fourth and fifth ODIs only, will now be in the squad for the full series, while Henry Nicholls will come in for the first three games and Dean Foxcroft for the last two.

"Seamer Matt Henry, who suffered a muscle tear during the T20 series against India, will join the squad on Monday and be assessed on his readiness to play," the Body added.

The ODI series begins at Eden Park in Auckland on Wednesday on the back of a T20 series, which was clinched 3-2 by the visiting Men in Blue. The two teams are also set to play two Tests.
