Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad have completed a four-player trade deal that will see Liam Livingstone and Jack Edwards move to CSK, with Khaleel Ahmed and Nathan Ellis heading in the opposite direction. The BCCI confirmed the trade on Thursday (November 5).
Livingstone will join CSK at a reduced fee of INR 6 crore, having originally been acquired by SRH for INR 13 crore at the IPL 2025 mini-auction. Edwards, meanwhile, will move at his existing fee of INR 3 crore. Having won the title with RCB in IPL 2025, Livingstone featured in just two games for SRH in the subsequent season. Edwards, on the other hand, did not get a game in IPL 2026.
Moving to SRH are two fast bowlers whose campaigns last season were curtailed by injuries. Nathan Ellis was expected to fill the death-bowling role for CSK in place of Matheesha Pathirana but, after being signed for INR 2 crore, was ruled out of the entire season with a hamstring injury sustained at the domestic One-Day Cup final ahead of the IPL season. He was subsequently replaced by Spencer Johnson.
Khaleel, meanwhile, featured in five games for CSK before being sidelined by a quadriceps injury. He returns to SRH, whom he represented between 2018 and 2021.
