Pakistan defeated India by four wickets in the Hong Kong Sixes 2026 match. India finished their innings with 88/5 after losing quick wickets. Pakistan chased the target comfortably despite Shashank Singh taking a late breakthrough. Irfan Khan sealed the win for Pakistan, leaving the Men in Blue on the backfoot.

Rahul Tewatia to bowl the fourth over. SIX, AND SIX MORE! Pakistan just one hit away from a famous win!

And its all over! Khawaja Nafar falls while trying to complete proceedings but Irfan Khan seals the deal in the next ball! Pakistan win by four wickets!

Shashank Singh is into the attack and immediately provides the breakthrough! Removes Abbas, finally gives India some breathing space. The provider of the goods with the bat does the trick with the ball.

Abbas Afridi c T Natarajan b Shashank Singh 35(8) [4s-1 6s-5]

Swing and a miss from Khawaja on the outside off length delivery, Shashank appeals for the nick but no reaction from the umpire. SIX from the new batter Abdul Samad to finish the third over!

The carnage continues! Natarajan gets hit for a no-look six! Finally some respite for Natarajan, he gets Khawaja! Um no, scratch that, Natarajan has over-stepped! Free-hit and Pakistan makes the Tamil Nadu bowler pay! Collects four more runs!

FOUR TO END THE OVER! Pakistan are in a hurry! India will need nothing short of a miracle to win from this position.

Right, can India finish on a high or will Pakistan continue its wicket-taking spree? The former transpires! Shashank Singh, India’s best batter, now falls! Pakistan on cloud nine! India on the backfoot!

That’s not the end of the innings because Natarajan will bat as the last man standing, with Shashank acting as the non-strike running. Pushes the length ball on the off side for FOUR!

A single to deep third man to finish the Indian innings! The Men in Blue finish with 88/5 from its six overs. Pakistan, undoubtedly, will be the happier of the two sides at the halfway stage.

Right, Abdul Samad (not to be confused with the Indian middle-order batter) will bowl the penultimate over of the first innings. Nitish finally breaks the shackles, collects a SIX over long on! His time at the crease comes to an end though as he retires out, India sends Rahul Tewatia in the hope for a power-packed finish to the innings.

The ploy doesn’t work! Pakistan gets two in two! Dismisses Tewatia and Krunal Pandya off consecutive deliveries! Huge blow for India!

Rahul Tewatia c Khawaja Nafay b Abdul Samad 0(1)

Krunal Pandya c Irfan Khan b Abdul Samad 0(1)

Natarajan is the last batter for India, Samad is on a hattrick, can he complete it? Not quite, Natarajan cleverly guides the length ball behind square for FOUR!

Irfan to bowl the fourth over. Shashank on strike, hits it clean as a whistle straight down the ground for a SIX! The Punjab Kings batter is looking in fine touch.

Goes again, same shot, same region and same result! SIX MORE! Shashank tries go big again, this time on the off side but gets no timing on it, he fetches two runs. Too full from Irfan and Shashank dismisses it with disdain. Clears the 50 metre boundary rope for another SIX!

Cheeky from Shashank, uses the pace on the short delivery and lofts it past the keeper for FOUR!

Captain Abbaas Afridi to bowl the third over for Pakistan. Nitish shows him no mercy, executes the upper cut to perfection for a SIX! Abbas angles it to top of middle, Nitish goes for a cross-bat slog, doesn’t get all of it, its only a single to deep mid wicket.

Captain Abbas what was that? Bowls it too high down the leg side and its a free-hit! Can Nitish send the crowd into a frenzy with a big hit? Not quite, swing and a miss from Nitish on the pace-off half-volley.

Make that another free-hit! Misses out again, Nitish can’t quick believe it but he’s struggling to get bat on ball at the moment. Another dot ball to finish.

Muhammad Shahzad to bowl the second over for Pakistan. He charges in, begins with an outside off half-volley, Nitish goes for the big drive, thick outside edge races past the diving keeper for FOUR! Nitish was lucky on that occasion but he’ll take it anyday! He takes a single, hands the strike back to Tripathi. India still searching for their first six of the innings.

Tripathi on strike, goes for the pull, its up in the airrr anddd the fielder at deep square leg completes a stunning diving catch! Tripathi has to walk back, his struggle at the crease comes to an end.

Rahul Tripathi c Abdul Samad b Muhammad Shahzad 9(5) [4s-2]

Shashank Singh is the new batter at the crease. Starts with a bang! Four, six, six off his first three balls! India 33/1 after two overs.

Nitish Rana and Rahul Tripathi walk out to open the batting for India. Daniyal takes the new ball for Pakistan, Tripathi on strikem first ball, no time to settle aaannnnnd oooooh Tripathi goes for the big heave across the line, gets beaten by the slower ball.

MAKE THE FOUR NEXT BALL! TRIPATHI STEPS OUT THE CREASE AND DRILLS THE HALF-VOLLEY THROUGH COVERS! FIRST RUNS ON THE BOARD FOR THE MEN IN BLUE!

Daniyal follows it up with a wide outside off. Daniyal continues to use the pace off delivery, Tripathi pulls to find one of the six fielders in the outfield for a single. Nitish Rana on strike, is welcomed by a bouncer, he ducks but doesn’t get the wide signal from the umpire he was looking for.

Fairly decent start by Pakistan. Rana now goes for the pull, gets no timing on the half-tracker, ball falls just short of the fielder at long on. Seven runs of the first over, can Tripathi finish on a high! Yes he can! Executes the short arm jab to perfection for FOUR!
