After Dhruv Jurel's century propelled India A to 346, Matt Boyle and Dean Foxcroft stitched an unbeaten 205-run partnership to resurrect the innings after three early wickets.

An unbeaten 205-run partnership between Matt Boyle and Dean Foxcroft helped New Zealand A stay on track to chase down India A's first-innings total of 346 at the end of the second day's play at the Hagley Oval on Sunday.

After Mohammed Siraj and Mukesh Kumar used the new ball to scalp three wickets before lunch, Boyle and Foxcroft combined to see off the early threat before making it count against the older ball.

Both spinners and pacers were unable to extract anything from the surface after the ball went soft, allowing the two batters to make merry. Boyle finished unbeaten on 107, while Foxcroft will continue on 80.

Earlier, India A skipper Dhruv Jurel brought up his hundred after finishing Day 1 unbeaten on 99. However, he was dismissed immediately after reaching the landmark, nicking one to the slip cordon.

Akash Deep, who had played resolutely with his captain, clicked up a gear after the latter's dismissal. He finished on 68 off 116 balls with 10 fours and two sixes to take India A to a respectable 346 all out.
