October 23: Scorchers rope in Aneurin Donald

England wicketkeeper-batter Aneurin Donald, who made his international debut against Sri Lanka last month, has been signed by Perth Scorchers on a one-year deal. Donald, who has a strike-rate of 172.53 from 115 T20s, is available for the entire season. He bolsters the reigning champions' stocks following Finn Allen's departure to Melbourne Stars and Josh Inglis not having signed a deal yet.

"We are incredibly excited to have Aneurin join our BBL squad this season. He showed enormous potential during his time with Trent Rockets during The Hundred and then again for England in the subsequent T20I series against Sri Lanka," Scorchers general manager Kade Harvey said.

"Having a couple Kiwis in the team who have played a lot of cricket together over the years brings a level of familiarity and I think they complement each other really well as a right-arm and left-arm pairing.

"One of the things we haven't been able to do in recent times is take wickets with the new ball, so hopefully these two can remedy that," Flintoff added.

October 9: Jordan returns to Sixers; Jacobs joins Heat as cover for Curran

Hope's full-season availability comes as a boost for the club following Matthew Wade's recent retirement.

"Following Matthew's retirement, we knew we needed to add an experienced player who could have an impact at the top of the order and also provide us with another quality wicketkeeping option, and Shai ticks both those boxes," said Salliann Beams, Cricket Tasmania General Manager - High Performance.

"We saw during his first stint with us the quality and experience he brings, and his T20 game has continued to develop since then. "In the past it has been a few games here or there, depending on the Australian team's commitments, which has been enjoyable. But the prospect of a full competition is even better," he said. Khawaja played 10 seasons for the Sydney Thunder before moving to the Heat in 2022.
