Bangladesh recalled Amite Hasan for the second Test against West Indies starting November 5 in Sylhet. He replaces Mominul Haque, who got a concussion during the first match. The BCB said, "Right-hander Amite Hasan has replaced Mominul Haque, who is unavailable for the second Test due to the concussion rule."

Bangladesh have recalled wicket-keeper batter Amite Hasan for the second Test against West Indies, scheduled to begin in Sylhet from November 5.

Cricbuzz earlier reported that Mominul Haque was doubtful for the second Test. Bangladesh Cricket Board announced that the left-handed batter will be replaced by Amite.

Amite, the right-handed batter with a plenty of domestic runs under his belt, has played only one Test so far, against Zimbabwe in Harare earlier this year. He managed scores of 4 & 25.

"Right-hander Amite Hasan has replaced Mominul Haque, who is unavailable for the second Test due to the concussion rule that states that a player diagnosed with a concussion must observe a mandatory minimum of seven calendar days away from play before returning to the field," BCB said in a statement.

In the opening Test against West Indies, Jaker Ali Anik was named as Bangladesh's concussion substitute for the rest of the game, after Mominul showed signs of concussion following a blow to the head.

Mominul was hurt while fielding in the 78th over of West Indies' first innings on the third day when he dropped Roston Chase on 27 while fielding at short leg. Later, team management officials informed that he will not take any further part in the match.

Bangladesh are trailing by 1-0 in the ongoing two-match Test series against West Indies, which is part of ICC World Test Championship. The visitors earned an eight-wicket win over them inside four days in the opening Test at Dhaka.
