A woman killed her husband with a kitchen knife following a domestic dispute in Gujarat's Ahmedabad. The incident took place on November 6 in the Naroda Smart City area, where the couple lived.
The victim, identified as Dilip Kharadi, was a former Army man who was working as a driver after leaving the service, according to police sources. He lived with his wife, Nirmala, and their two children.
On the night of the incident, an argument broke out between Kharadi and his wife. During the altercation, Nirmala picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed her husband in the left side of his chest.
The knife struck the area above the heart, causing serious injuries. Following the attack, Nirmala herself took Dilip to a hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police said the couple had been having frequent arguments over family-related issues. Their latest altercation began over food and household responsibilities on Thursday night.
