BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao questioned why Rahul Gandhi remains silent on promises made to Telangana youth before the Assembly elections. He asked, "Why is he not coming to Telangana with his Chatron ki Goonj?" KTR also alleged that the state government failed to deliver on 420 election campaign promises.
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao questioned the silence of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that he has turned a blind eye to the promises he made to the youngsters before the Assembly elections.
He alleged that Mr. Gandhi was going around the country speaking on youngsters and the opportunities denied to them by the BJP government. "Why is he not coming to Telangana with his Chatron ki Goonj," he asked at a programme to invite a minority leader into the BRS.
The BRS working president asked if Mr. Gandhi was happy that Telangana has become an "ATM" for Congress leader, alleging that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was acting as an "ATM card" for the party leadership.
Mr. Rama Rao said that Mr. Gandhi had promised to implement six guarantees within 100 days, fulfil 13 declarations and deliver a total of 420 promises during the Assembly election campaign. However, the government had failed to provide satisfactory answers on their implementation, he claimed.
KTR alleged that the CM was responding to criticism with personal attacks and cases instead of addressing questions raised by the Opposition. Questioning the government is the Opposition party's right and a democratic right of people, he said.
The BRS leader levelled allegations related to land transactions, business agreements and the business activities of members of the Chief Minister's family. He also sought details of business deals allegedly involving another family member and a ₹1,000-crore deal linked to the Chief Minister's brother living in the United States. He demanded transparency and clear answers from the government on the allegations.
