The BJP started daily hearings at its Delhi headquarters to connect with grassroots workers. National office-bearers will follow a roster from Monday to Friday to hear concerns and suggestions. This new system ensures party members from across the country can directly approach senior leaders to share their views and issues.
The BJP has introduced a new system at its national headquarters in Delhi to provide party workers from across the country a regular platform to raise their concerns, share suggestions and seek the intervention of senior leaders. Under the arrangement, national office-bearers will be available at the headquarters on a roster basis and hold public hearings in the multipurpose hall every day.
The initiative has been put in place by Rajya Sabha MP and BJP national headquarters in-charge Tarun Chugh under the guidance of party president Nitin Nabin. Special arrangements have been made at the headquarters to ensure the hearings are conducted smoothly, with senior office-bearers assigned duties according to a fixed schedule.
Under the new system, two national general secretaries and two national vice-presidents will be present at the headquarters every day from Monday to Friday. National secretaries and other senior functionaries will also be available to hear workers' concerns, with the aim of ensuring that those travelling from different parts of the country can directly approach the party leadership.
SENIOR LEADERS TO BE PRESENT
The BJP has drawn up a day-wise roster for the availability of its national general secretaries. On Mondays, Vinod Tawde and Harish Dwivedi will be present at the headquarters, while Sunil Bansal and Gajendra Patel will be available on Tuesdays.
On Wednesdays, workers can approach Biplab Kumar Deb and Sanjay Bhatia, while Smriti Irani and Tarun Chugh will be available on Thursdays. On Fridays, Satish Poonia, along with other senior office-bearers and national secretaries, will hear workers' concerns.
The party has also assigned duties to national vice-presidents and national secretaries to ensure that workers have adequate opportunities to meet senior leaders and put forward their grievances, suggestions and organisational concerns.
Senior office-bearers have been scheduled to remain available from 10 am to 5 pm, giving workers a seven-hour window to meet them and seek assistance. The arrangement is intended to establish a direct channel of communication between the party's grassroots workers and its senior leadership, while enabling the organisation to take up issues requiring attention.
The public hearing mechanism will continue over the weekend, with presidents of the BJP's various organisational fronts (morchas) scheduled to be present at the headquarters on Saturdays and Sundays. While national general secretaries, vice-presidents and secretaries will oversee the hearings from Monday to Friday, the front presidents will take up workers' concerns over the weekend.
The move comes as the BJP prepares for important elections in several states, including in Uttar Pradesh, in the coming months. Through the initiative, the party aims to strengthen direct engagement with its workers, improve coordination within the organisation and ensure that feedback from the ground reaches its senior leadership more systematically.
The BJP hopes the regular hearings will make it easier for workers to access senior functionaries, communicate local-level challenges and bring organisational issues to the leadership's attention without having to navigate multiple channels.
