The KPCC president denies funding CJP protests but justifies what he calls his party's logistical support to the agitating youth

KPCC president B.K. Hariprasad on Sunday accused the Narendra Modi-led Union government of failing to make a meaningful contribution to the education sector over the past 12 years. He claimed that more than one lakh schools have shut down during this period.

"The Modi government has failed to establish more than three universities in its 12 years in power. The contribution of the Modi government to education sector is zero," he claimed.

Responding to allegations that the Congress is funding protests organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), Mr. Hariprasad denied that the party is providing funding in the manner alleged but justified what he calls logistical support being extended by his party to the agitating youth.

"We are not funding the CJP protests. We are just extending logistical support to them. Providing lawyers to help the agitating activists in court cases and providing them with national flag don't amount to funding the protests. We will continue to extend such logistical support to them," he said and added that the Congress stands with those fighting to protect the Constitution.
