BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao welcomed the Election Commission of India’s affidavit defending the SIR in the Supreme Court. He said, "The Congress should now apologize to the entire nation for lying to the people." Rao claimed the Congress party tried to mislead citizens regarding the commission’s internal opinions.
Hyderabad: Welcoming the Election Commission of India's (ECI) affidavit defending the SIR in the Supreme Court (SC), BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao said the ECI, in its counter-affidavit before the SC, has clearly mentioned that there is no rift between the commission members.
This shows that the Congress party has tried to mislead the people with regard to the division of opinion in the ECI. As far as Form 6 is concerned, that also has been cleared, and the procedures for all votes, deletions, and inclusions have been fully explained.
The claims of the Congress and the opposition party clearly establish that they have tried to mislead the people and the nation. On the basis of the affidavit filed by the ECI, the Congress should now apologize to the entire nation for lying to the people.
