തെക്കൻ ആൻഡമാൻ കടലിൽ രൂപപ്പെട്ട ന്യൂനമർദ്ദം ശക്തിപ്രാപിച്ച് അടുത്ത 24 മണിക്കൂറിനുള്ളിൽ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റായി മാറുമെന്ന് കാലാവസ്ഥാ നിരീക്ഷണ കേന്ദ്രം മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നൽകി. ഇത് വടക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ദിശയിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ച് നവംബർ രണ്ടിന് വൈകുന്നേരത്തോടെ ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശ് തീരത്തെത്താൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. തീരദേശവാസികൾ അതീവ ജാഗ്രത പാലിക്കണമെന്ന് അധികൃതർ നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചു.
Visakhapatnam: A fresh cyclone is likely to form in another 24 hours, said IMD Amaravati in a special bulletin on Saturday morning.
The report said Friday’s low pressure area over South Andaman Sea and adjoining North Andaman Sea and Andaman and Nicobar Islands moved west-northwestwards and lay as a well marked low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Andaman Sea at 08.30 am on Saturday.
It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a depression over the same region during the next six hours. Thereafter, it is very likely to intensify further into a cyclonic storm during subsequent 24 hours, move west-northwestwards and reach over west central Bay of Bengal near Andhra Pradesh coast around evening of November 2, 2026.
