Indian equities extended their recovery on Thursday, with the Nifty closing firmly above the 22,900 mark as buying momentum broadened beyond banking stocks. The Nifty 50 advanced 238 points, or 1.05%, to settle at 22,937.
From a technical perspective, the index closed above its 20-day simple moving average (SMA) and crossed the important 22,800 level. This level is expected to act as immediate support, while a sustained move above 22,900 could extend the recovery towards 23,000-23,150, according to Hariselvan Radhakrishnan, founder and CEO of HST Wealth.
Against this backdrop, several stocks, including Reliance Industries, Jio Platforms, Trent, Suzlon Energy, IndiGo, Vedanta Power, Sagility and Rail Vikas Nigam, are likely to remain in focus on Friday, October 30. Investors will track September-quarter earnings, fundraising plans, credit rating updates, regulatory developments and new business wins.
