Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates, Thursday, Oct 29, 2026: The GIFT Nifty indicated that the Nifty 50 will open lower; the futures were quoted at 22,685, down 0.21 per cent.
Asian markets were trading mixed despite a slight cool-off in oil prices amid tensions in West Asia. Japan's Nikkei 225 and South Korea's Kospi were trading 0.15 per cent higher and 2.28 per cent lower, respectively.
Overnight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 ended 0.19 per cent and 0.28 per cent up, respectively. The Nasdaq Composite settled 0.27 per cent up.
Crude oil prices inched marginally lower as they slipped below $115 per barrel. The July future contract was quoted at $114.9, down 0.36 per cent.
Gold futures were down 0.27 per cent and silver futures were trading 0.42 per cent down.
