Kross shares rallied 15.62% to Rs 314.35 on the BSE on Monday, after the company reported strong standalone financial results for the September quarter of FY27. The company posted a 143% year-on-year surge in its Q2 net profit to Rs 19.69 crore, from Rs 8.08 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations rose 80% YoY to Rs 235.09 crore, from Rs 130.92 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
According to the company's exchange filing, EBITDA more than doubled, increasing 107.4% YoY to Rs 30.60 crore from Rs 14.75 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Profitability also improved, with the EBITDA margin expanding 175 basis points to 13% from 11.3%. The net profit margin increased 220 basis points to 8.4% from 6.2%.
The company attributed its growth to broad-based demand across business segments. Strong demand in the medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) and trailer segments, a continued recovery in the tractor and agricultural segments, and capacity expansion initiatives supported performance during the quarter.
Operational efficiencies and backward integration also helped the company manage input cost pressures.
Commenting on the results, Sudhir Rai, Chairman and Managing Director of Kross, said the company sustained its growth momentum in Q2FY27, with revenue, EBITDA and profit after tax increasing 79.6%, 107.4% and 143.5%, respectively.
Rai said capacity expansion investments were beginning to support growth, with utilisation expected to improve in the coming quarters. He also highlighted healthy order books, sustained demand in the trailer and tractor segments, and capacity expansion projects nearing completion as factors supporting the company's growth outlook for FY27.
The company said its focus remains on profitable growth, operational efficiency, customer relationships and disciplined execution. It expects new products, capacity investments and improved execution to support
revenue growth and profitability over the longer term.
