Jio Platforms is set to list on the stock exchanges on October 28 following its Rs 30,200-crore IPO. Analysts said the firm’s robust compounding potential justifies a buy-and-hold strategy. With 533.3 million customers, the company shows strong growth prospects in artificial intelligence and broadband services for long-term wealth creation.

Jio Platforms' capital allocation strategy has reduced its net leverage to 0.36 times in FY2026, indicating a shift from heavy infrastructure spending towards higher free cash flow generation, according to Mahesh M Ojha, Vice President of Research and Business Development at Kantilal Chhaganlal Securities. Ojha said tariff hikes, rising per-capita data consumption and the expansion of fixed broadband services such as JioFiber and JioAirFiber could drive future growth. "The firm's robust compounding potential justifies a definitive buy-and-hold strategy for long-term wealth creation," he said.

Jio Platforms' proprietary technology stack, backed by 7,220 patent applications, has helped the company avoid third-party vendor fees and supported an EBITDA margin of 51.91 percent, according to Mahesh M Ojha, Vice President of Research and Business Development at Kantilal Chhaganlal Securities.

Ojha said the company's technology capabilities were a key part of its competitive advantage as it prepares to list on the stock exchanges on October 28.

Jio Platforms' customer base of 533.3 million and approximately 49.8 percent share of India's wireless broadband market are among the factors supporting its long-term investment case, according to Narendra Solanki, Head of Fundamental Research, Investment Services, at Anand Rathi Shares and Stock Brokers.

Solanki said the company's proprietary technology stack, extensive distribution network and strong brand franchise provided competitive advantages and created high entry barriers.

However, telecom regulation, spectrum requirements, technological disruptions and cybersecurity threats remain key risks for the company.

Jio Platforms is valued at around Rs 10.3 lakh crore at its final IPO price, with the company trading at an implied 34.3 times its FY2026 price-to-earnings ratio and 14.8 times its FY2026 enterprise value-to-EBITDA ratio.

Narendra Solanki, Head of Fundamental Research, Investment Services, at Anand Rathi Shares and Stock Brokers, said Jio Platforms' leadership position in India's digital ecosystem, strong profitability, scalable technology platform and growth prospects supported its valuation.

Opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI), enterprise digital services and fixed broadband could provide further avenues for long-term growth, he said.

Analysts have advised investors who received allotments in Jio Platforms' Rs 30,200-crore IPO to hold the shares for the long term ahead of their market debut on October 28.
