Tuhin Kanta Pandey said Indian markets need greater participation from household savings, emphasising that investing must be an informed choice. "Investing must be a choice made with open eyes," he said.

The SEBI Chairman noted that 63% of households are aware of at least one securities product, adding that easy access to markets does not necessarily translate into a deeper understanding of investments.

Speaking on sectoral corrections, S Naren, ED & CIO, ICICI Prudential AMC said, "if you look at many of the large caps in some of the financial companies, they all become very reasonably valued. And if you ask me, there are other sectors, for example, like FMCG and IT, they have also corrected a lot. Whether they need to, whether they can go up substantially, we don't know. But at least they have corrected a lot."

Chauhan said, "Three years it has been happening. It's not today. Some people wake up late, but that's fine. But it's not happening. It's not that today it's happening. Three years it's happening, and there are reasons. One of them is the AI story. India doesn't have a AI story, and most money from across the world went into only US and then two other markets: one is called Taiwan, other is Korea, right?"

He added, "And that also that cycle has run about so much that today out of 75 trillion dollars market cap, three years back it was probably 35 trillion or 40 trillion, right? So literally that surge is due to AI, right? And we did not have that. So when the markets move, people take money from a market which is not having that story. They go into those markets where the sort of story is there, and then that cycle runs because most of the time cycles actually run ahead of themselves. So when that cycle runs over, smart companies starts moving out and start going into the older, more reliable market. So for me, whenever we have that story where that market, like Korean markets, people are now moving out because it has gone up beyond what it can handle, or Taiwanese market. So there, the emerging markets maybe will now start.'
