Gold Rates In India Outlook Ahead

As per Ponmudi, the key macroeconomic focus remained the Federal Reserve's upcoming October 27-28 policy meeting, following stronger-than-expected U.S. consumer and producer inflation readings in the previous week. Although markets largely expected the Fed to keep interest rates unchanged at the October meeting, expectations of another rate hike in December remained elevated, with traders pricing approximately a 78% probability. Resilient U.S. economic indicators, including historically low initial jobless claims, added to concerns that inflation could remain persistent.

The expert added, higher energy costs further complicated the monetary policy outlook, limiting the scope for easing and maintaining pressure on non-yielding assets like gold. Investors are also awaiting the October 29 U.S. Personal Consumption Expenditures report for additional guidance on inflation and future interest-rate decisions.
