Jewellers are rolling out festive offers on gold, silver and diamond jewellery for Dhanteras and Diwali 2026, with discounts on making charges, price offers on select products and gifts linked to purchases.

The offers come as consumers navigate elevated gold prices and look for jewellery that fits their budgets and can be worn beyond the festive season.

While gold remains central to traditional festive and wedding purchases, retailers are also focusing on lightweight designs, contemporary jewellery and alternatives such as silver and coloured gemstones.

The offers differ by brand and product category, making it important for buyers to compare the final price and check the terms before purchasing.

Irasva Fine Jewellery is offering a 25% discount on diamond value and a 100% discount on making charges.

P P Jewellers by Pawan Gupta has introduced its Tyohaar Utsav offer, featuring making charges of 5.9% and a free gift on every purchase.

Mirari Jewels is offering discounts of 10–15% during the festive season.

Zen Diamond India, meanwhile, is offering a 1.5-gram, 24-karat gold coin for every ₹1 lakh spent on natural diamond jewellery under its Dazzling Diwali offer. Its Magic Pricing scheme includes one-carat diamond rings at ₹3,99,999, against a stated original price of ₹5.8 lakh, and one-carat diamond earrings at ₹7,49,999, against a stated original price of ₹12.7 lakh.

Khurana Jewellery House is showcasing more than 1,000 designs across gold, diamond and polki jewellery at its Amritsar store on October 30 and 31, followed by Ludhiana on November 2 and 3. It has also announced a gift for customers who make a purchase during the showcase.

Leshna Shah, founder of Irasva Fine Jewellery, said jewellery purchases during the festive season often become part of family traditions and personal milestones. Prerna Khurana, director of Khurana Jewellery House, said the company's festive edit is intended to offer customers a range of designs across gold, diamond and polki jewellery.

Mira Gulati, founder, CEO and lead designer of Mirari Jewels, said buyers are looking for jewellery that suit their personal style and could be cherished beyond a particular occasion.

Pawan Gupta, chairperson of P P Jewellers by Pawan Gupta, described Dhanteras as an important occasion for jewellery purchases, with customers looking for designs suited to their preferences.

Gold prices influence festive purchases

Gold prices remain an important consideration for buyers during the festive season. While the occasion can encourage purchases, price movements can influence the quantity, design and type of jewellery consumers choose.

“Gold continues to hold a central place in India’s festive and wedding purchases, and we expect demand to remain resilient this season. However, fluctuations in gold prices are influencing how consumers approach their purchases,” said Ankur Daga, CEO of Angara.

Daga said the recent price correction had encouraged some buyers to return to the market. Consumers were also considering lighter pieces, different caratages and designs that could be worn beyond special occasions, he said.

Silver is also relevant to festive buying, particularly for gifting, as it offers options across a wider range of budgets, Daga said.

He added that reduced making charges and exchange benefits could influence purchase decisions, although the occasion, design and perceived value of a piece remained important.

Angara has recorded around 30% growth in its coloured gemstone category over the past year, according to Daga. He said coloured gemstones offered consumers an alternative to conventional gold jewellery, with scope for the category to grow as buyers increasingly look for individual styles.

Lightweight jewellery and versatility gain importance

Alongside price considerations, jewellers are seeing emphasis on designs that can be worn regularly rather than being reserved for festivals and weddings.

“Elevated gold prices are changing what people buy, not whether they buy,” said Gaurav Singh Kushwaha, founder, managing director and CEO of BlueStone.

Consumers generally work within a budget, so higher gold prices can change the type of jewellery they purchase rather than necessarily eliminate the purchase, he said. This is supporting interest in lighter, contemporary pieces that can be worn across different occasions.

Kushwaha also said more than 80% of BlueStone's consumers browse its website before purchasing, typically weeks in advance. Online research helps customers shortlist designs before visiting stores to examine the jewellery and complete their purchase, he said.

Self-purchases by women are another trend highlighted by Kushwaha, with jewellery being bought to mark personal milestones or suit individual preferences.

For retailers, festive demand therefore involves more than traditional gold buying. Affordability, design, versatility and the perceived value of a purchase are also shaping consumer choices across jewellery categories.

What should buyers check before buying?

A festive discount or gift does not necessarily translate into the lowest final price. Buyers should compare the complete bill and check which products qualify for an offer.

For gold and silver jewellery, the metal rate, purity, net weight, making charges and applicable taxes affect the final cost.

For diamond jewellery, buyers should check the diamond specifications, certification where applicable and the terms of any price offer.
