The trailer of Apple TV’s upcoming coming-of-age drama, Way of the Warrior Kid, was unveiled by the streamer on Tuesday (October 27, 2026). Based on the 2017 novel of the same name by Jocko Willink, the film stars Chris Pratt and Jude Hill in the lead. It is written by Will Staples and directed by McG.
The trailer introduces Chris as US Navy SEAL officer, Jake, who is injured and comes to spend a summer with his nephew, Marc. School has been a nightmare for the kid as he regularly gets bullied by his peers. In a scene, they throw away his bicycle in the river, causing much distress to Marc, who seeks help of Jake to teach him to fight. Initially reluctant, Jake then takes up the task and devises an ambitious program called “Operation Warrior Kid” based on his SEAL training to teach his nephew what real courage is and how to face down his own demons. The film promises to be a lively coming-of-age drama surrounding the colorful relationship between the two.
Way of the Warrior Kid also stars Jocko Willink, Linda Cardellini, and Levi McConaughey in pivotal roles. Will Staples, Steven Bello and Cliff Lanning serve as executive producers.
The film will be released on Apple TV on November 20.
