Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met Tiger Shroff after three men opened fire in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday, October 18. Tiger got an injury on his right hand from gunpowder. Shinde said, “We won’t let such gang wars survive.” The government promised to protect the film industry now.

Referring to the incidents involving Salman Khan and now Tiger Shroff, Shinde said the possibility of a larger conspiracy targeting Bollywood could not be ruled out.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has assured Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff and his family of the state government’s support after a firing incident in Mumbai’s Juhu area, warning that those responsible for such attacks and attempts to revive gang wars would not be spared.

Speaking to CNN-News18 after meeting the actor and his family, Shinde said Tiger had suffered an injury on his right hand due to gunpowder, along with injuries caused by glass fragments. He also expressed concern over how close the attackers had been when they opened fire.

“The firing was done from a very close distance. You can see it in the video. His parents are very concerned, and it is natural, because he was attacked from such close distance," Shinde said.

The deputy chief minister said he had reassured the family that the government and Mumbai Police would take all necessary steps to ensure their safety and bring those responsible to justice.

“I reassured them that the government is standing with them, Mumbai Police is with them. We won’t let such gang wars survive. We will finish them, and it is the responsibility of the government and the police," he said.

‘Threatening Bollywood Could Be A Conspiracy’

Shinde also raised concerns about the broader implications of the incident, pointing to the threats and attacks involving prominent names from the Hindi film industry. Referring to the incidents involving Salman Khan and now Tiger Shroff, he said the possibility of a larger conspiracy targeting Bollywood could not be ruled out.

“Law and order situation, Salman Khan and now Tiger Shroff, it’s a big industry. Threatening the industry could be a conspiracy, and we will go till the depth to find out," he told CNN-News18.

He also sought to reassure members of the film fraternity, saying the government would stand firmly behind them and would not allow criminal gangs to operate with impunity. “I want to tell all the celebrities and Bollywood, don’t worry, we are standing with you," Shinde said.

Three Men Opened Fire In Juhu

The incident took place on Sunday evening, October 18, when three unidentified men allegedly arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire at Tiger Shroff’s vehicle in Mumbai’s Juhu area. The actor was reportedly returning after playing football when the attack occurred.

While Shroff escaped without any reported gunshot wound, his driver and an autorickshaw driver were among those injured in the firing. The actor was taken to Nanavati Hospital for medical attention.

The attack triggered a police investigation, with teams working to identify the assailants, establish the motive and examine possible links to organised criminal gangs.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.
