Ramayana Part Two will introduce new characters like Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Raghav Juyal as Meghnad. The film is currently on floors and will release theatrically on Diwali 2028. This chapter follows Sita’s abduction, showing Lord Rama’s journey to rescue her with help from his new allies.

As the anticipation for Ramayana Part Two peaks, here are the characters that will feature in the film. From Sunny Deol's Hanuman to Raghav Juyal's Meghnad, new characters will take the story forward.

The next chapter of Ramayana has been confirmed to release theatrically on Diwali 2028. The shoot for the second part of the mythological drama is on floors. Ramayana Part Two will focus on the events that unfold after Sita's abduction. Lord Rama is determined to rescue his wife from Ravana's custody and bring her back safely. This incident occurs during their 14-year exile. Jatayu, before sacrificing his life protecting Sita, informs them about Ravana's kingdom, Lanka. The mid-credit scene introduces Hanuman, played by Sunny Deol, and the location shifts to Kishkindha.

Ramayana Part 1, titled Rise of a Legend, featured important characters, including Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Yash as Ravana, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, Kajal Agarwal as Mandodari, and Harish Uthaman as Vibhishana. New characters will be introduced in the second part.

Before Ramayana's second part releases, here's a look at the new characters that shall be introduced in the film.

Hanuman

Sunny Deol has been confirmed as Hanuman in Ramayana Part Two. The actor is currently shooting for the film. Recently, videos of Deol getting ready with the prosthetics went viral on social media. Hanuman is an important character in the upcoming narrative as he becomes Lord Rama's support system and the catalyst in helping him reach Ashok Vatika in Lanka, where Sita is held captive.

Sugriv

Suhail Nayyar plays Sugriv in Ramayana Part Two. The actor has established himself as a promising name in the Hindi film industry. Sugriv is the younger brother of Vali, whom he succeeded as ruler of the vanara kingdom of Kishkindha.

Vali

Sugriv and Vali are brothers. Amid a fight, Lord Rama shot Vali in the chest with an arrow. Before Sugriv took over the kingdom, he was the king of Kishkindha. As of now, the actor who will be playing Vali has not been announced.

Meghnad

Raghav Juyal is Meghnad, or popularly called Indrajit. His look from Ramayana Part Two was unveiled in the final scene of Part One. Meghnad is a warrior and the son of Ravana.

Besides these, Ramayana Part Two will feature Kumbhakarna, Nala and Nila, Shabari, Tara, Angad and Trijata among many important characters. The makers have still not revealed whether the Luv-Kush chapter would be introduced in the sequel or there would be another part showing Lord Rama and Sita's journey after the Lanka episode.
