Nora Fatehi's Connection To Sukesh Chandrashekhar
Earlier, Fatehi was questioned by the ED in the ₹200-crore money laundering case involving Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The case dates back to early 2021. During the questioning, Nora claimed that she was invited to a party by Sukesh and his wife, and in return for her performance, she was offered expensive gifts instead of cash as a fee.
Following Nora's claim, investigators looked into the expensive gifts, which included a BMW car and designer stuff, including a Gucci bag. Nora also claimed that she had no connection to Sukesh and was a victim of the conman's syndicate. Nora also stated that she cut all her connections with Sukesh upon realising something was wrong.
the case took a sharp turn when Sukesh, in a handwritten letter, claimed that he had given Nora Fatehi crores of rupees to help her purchase a house in Casablanca, Morocco. Therefore, he asked Nora to 'stop this pathetic drama' of being a victim and threatened to release their conversations from that period. He also alleged that Nora was jealous of his relationship with Jacqueline and would call him several times a day, 'begging' him to end his relationship with Fernandez.
What Is Sukesh's Case?
Sukesh Chandrasekhar's money laundering case involves allegations that he extorted nearly ₹200 crore from the wives of former Ranbaxy promoters Shivinder Singh and Malvinder Singh while he was already in jail.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) alleges that Sukesh used the illegally obtained money to buy luxury gifts, cars and other expensive items for people close to him, including actresses Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi.
