Last week, Simu Liu and Allison Hsu had their fairy-tale wedding in France a year after being engaged in Paris in front of the Eiffel Tower. The couple who had been together for four years tied the knot at Chateâu d’Estoublon in Provence on October 3, 2026. Simu and Allison have finally shared photos from their big day as well as details about the gorgeous old-world venue and their celebrity friends in attendance. Simu‘s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings co-star Benedict Wong also DJ-ed a set during their reception as his alter ego, DJ Obi-Wong. Find out more below.
In a joint post on Instagram, the couple simply wrote, "Mr. & Mrs. Liu 10.03.26," before giving credit to all those people who made their dream celebration come true. Simu and Allison's first meeting was a mutual friend’s Fourth of July barbecue in 2022, where they instantly connected. They dated for three years before the Avengers: Doomsday actor proposed on May 10, 2025, on the rooftop of Paris's Shangri-La Hotel before the Eiffel Tower. Simu flew in Allison's best friends and family for the occasion, surprising his partner.
A year later, they made it official just two months after Allison's 30th birthday. The 37-year-old Marvel star and Allison were married Saturday, October 3, during a weekend-long celebration at a 17th-century chateau in Provence. Allison is the vice president of digital marketing at Interscope Records.
The bride wore a dress designed by Taiwanese sisters Nicole and Felica Chang for their label, Nicole + Felicia. Allison's parents were born and raised in Taiwan. The groom wore Asian-Canadian-founded Garrison Bespoke with his favourite Versace jacket. Right before the bride arrived, there was a brief downpour. But it cleared before Allison stepped out in her white gown.
Allison told Vogue that the couple was just "overwhelmed with gratitude" over the whole experience, while Simu called the ceremony perfect. He added, "Our friends and guests looked absolutely beautiful, and then the moment Allison stood at the top of the aisle, I was overwhelmed with emotion looking at my life partner."
Their ceremony was officiated by their friend and groomsman, Jason Y Lee, and Simu's co-star from the Last Breath, Woody Harrelson, read out Blessing of the Hands by Reverend Daniel Harris. The couple read out their handwritten vows for one another before heading out to the reception filled with love and laughter.
The newlyweds had a tiered wedding cake featuring layers of matcha and vanilla. Their good friend, actress-singer Renee Rapp sang Etta James' At Last for the couple's first dance. The after party was lit as Canadian DJ duo Loud Luxury included a remix of Taylor Swift‘s The Fate of Ophelia; Allison is a big Swiftie. The night ended with another Marvel star, Benedict Wong, closing out the party as his alter ego, DJ Obi-Wong.
