Maatrubhumi trailer review: After ‘Sonam, it’s done bro’, Salman Khan delivers another EPIC ‘bro’ dialogue; plays the best husband, father, soldier and PEACEMAKER; “Schezwan mein kuch kaala hai” brings the house down!

The trailer begins with the whistle theme of the iconic patriotic song 'Saare Jahan Se Accha'. Salman Khan's entry scene shows him as a clean shaven, dashing and daring soldier. It immediately led to hoots and whistles.

In Maatrubhumi, Salman Khan plays a soldier named Sandy of the Pahadi Bihar Tiger Battalion. He’s not just a patriot but also an idle husband and father of two kids. Chitrangda Singh plays his wife, who calls him “the Best husband, best father, best soldier”. In the film, he also seems to be the best peacemaker. He believes in peace and not only in fighting to find solutions. There’s enough action in the trailer that will surely appeal to the masses. Meanwhile, the message on peace will appeal to the elite and progressive crowd and hence, Maatrubhumi aims at a very wide audience.

The dialogues are hard-hitting. In one scene, Salman Khan, in an intense moment, tells his Chinese counterpart, “We are soldiers. We are made for days like these!” Another clapworthy dialogue is when he proudly proclaims, “Ek Bihari, sau pe bhaari”! And when you have Salman Khan in the film, one can’t help but expect some fun as well. In one scene, Salman jokes “Schezwan mein kuch kaala hai,” and it’s sure to be loved by his fans!

In the trailer, we also see Salman Khan shaking his leg to two songs, one peppy and one soulful. The promo ends with a lovely dialogue on patriotism and peace. Recently, Salman achieved cult status with his ‘Sonam, it’s done bro’ tweet. In Maatrubhumi, he has one more ‘bro’ dialogue – “Let's sort this s**t out bro!”

A scene of Yashpal Sharma and Daya Shankar Pandey adds to the entertainment quotient. Overall, the trailer of Maatrubhumi will come as a surprise. There were apprehensions that due to the delay and alleged reshoots, the film may not be as hard-hitting. However, the promo proves that Maatrubhumi can be a surprise and more importantly, it showcases Salman Khan in a way that his fans would love.
