Saif Ali Khan recently appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show and spoke about his long parenting journey. The actor said, “At 55, I’m in the same school.” He has four children and has attended parent-teacher meetings for decades. He also joked about how easy it was to join Instagram.

Saif Ali Khan recently appeared on Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show with his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, where the actor opened up about a rather relatable aspect of being a parent. During the conversation, Saif spoke about attending parent-teacher meetings for his children and joked about how he has remained a familiar face at the same school for decades.

The conversation took a humorous turn when Archana Puran Singh asked, “Who goes to school in a parent-teacher meeting?”

Saif responded by explaining that his experience with parent-teacher meetings spans several decades because he has four children studying at the same school at different stages. He said, “First of all, I have four children in that school. At different ages. When I was 20 years old, I had my first PTA meeting. Then I was 30 years old. I am still standing in the same school in 55 years. And now... The teachers there have changed. I am still the same.”

Saif Ali Khan on his four children

Saif is a father of four children. He shares daughter Sara Ali Khan and son Ibrahim Ali Khan with his former wife Amrita Singh, while he and Kareena Kapoor Khan are parents to sons Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan.

His remark on The Great Indian Kapil Show offered a glimpse into the long-running routine of parenting, with the actor joking that while teachers have changed over the years, he continues to find himself in the same school environment.

The episode also marked one of Saif’s first major television appearances following his Instagram debut. The actor joined the social media platform last week and has since gained more than 312,000 followers.

Saif Ali Khan on finally joining Instagram

During the episode, Kapil Sharma also congratulated Saif on joining Instagram after staying away from the platform for years. Kapil joked, “He didn’t come on Instagram for so many years, and now that he has, he only follows one person – his wife Kareena.”

Saif explained that he had simply assumed joining the platform would involve a complicated process. “Honestly, I didn’t know that joining Instagram was so easy. I stayed away for years as I thought I would need a passport or Aadhaar card,” he said.

The episode featuring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan is now streaming exclusively on Netflix.
