Ramayana story
Ramayana follows the story of Rama, the future king of Ayodhya. He is the eldest son of King Dashrath with his Queen Kaushalya. He is the seventh manifestation of Lord Vishnu, who has a greater purpose to fulfil. After Ravana is blessed with the power that is almost similar to immortality, Rama's birth brings hope. He marries Sita, the eldest daughter of King Janak. Days before Rama's coronation ceremony, Dashrath's third wife, Kaikeyi, influenced by Manthara, orders him to make her son Bharat the King instead of Rama. The old King is forced to grant her wish and asks Rama to leave the kingdom for a 14-year exile in the forest.
The Rama vs Ravana fight is set up after Lakshman chops off Surpanakha's nose. She is the only sister of Ravana and is smitten by Rama's charm. He declines her marriage proposal, leading to the incident. Surpanakha instigates Ravana to take action and with the help of Mareech, he abducts Sita from Panchvati. Jatayu, a mythical bird, dies while saving Sita.
The second part of Ramayana will shift to Lanka, and Hanuman enters the scene. The film releases in theatres on Diwali 2028.
