No Birthday Balcony Appearance, But Shah Rukh Khan Sends Fans A Heartfelt Handwritten Note

Shah Rukh Khan turned 61 and thanked fans with a handwritten note. Although he did not appear at Mannat, his residence was adorned with visuals from his upcoming film King.

Shah Rukh Khan's birthday is always a big celebration for his fans, and November 2 was no different. For years, fans have gathered outside the Bollywood superstar's Mumbai home at midnight, hoping to see him come out on the balcony and wave at them. It has almost become a birthday ritual. However, SRK skipped the usual balcony appearance this time as he has temporarily moved out of Mannat.

But that didn't mean fans went home disappointed. The actor had something special waiting for them. Mannat was decorated with huge visuals from his upcoming film, King, and a special handwritten message from Shah Rukh himself.

A billboard outside the bungalow carried a sweet note from the superstar. Thanking everyone for their birthday wishes, he wrote: "Thank you all for your wishes and love. Sending mine right back to you all."

He signed off with 'lots of love and a big hug'. The birthday display also featured big visuals from King, along with two of the film's dialogues: "King Akela Kaafi Hai" and "Darr Nahi, Dehshat Hoon."

Before the Mannat celebrations, the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in Mumbai was also lit up on Sunday with Shah Rukh's pictures and birthday greetings. The actor sneaked out for a drive, clicked a picture of the beautiful display and shared it with his fans. Shah Rukh took to X to share a photograph of the Sea Link lit up for him. He thanked Google Gemini for the "KING-sized love" and revealed that he had "sneak[ed] out for a drive" to capture the special moment.

Shah Rukh Khan also dropped the first song from his upcoming film King on November 2 midnight. Titled Tu Mil Jaaye, the song brings Shah Rukh and Deepika together once again and features Arijit Singh's vocals and Ed Sheeran's rap.
