Greta Gerwig takes on the world of Narnia
Gerwig, known for directing Barbie, is helming the latest film based on Lewis’ work. The trailer follows the release of the film’s first-look material, which offered an initial glimpse of its characters and visual setting.
Unlike The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which introduces audiences to Narnia through the Pevensie siblings, The Magician’s Nephew explores how the fantasy world came into existence. Its story centres on Digory and Polly, whose adventures lead them to discover Narnia’s origins.
Although it was published as the sixth book in The Chronicles of Narnia series, The Magician’s Nephew is set before the events of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in the series’ fictional timeline.
