The trailer of debutant filmmaker Radhika Bansal’s Meethe Mein Kya Hai has been released, offering a glimpse into a family drama set during the Diwali holidays. Starring Rohini Hattangadi, Ritwik Bhowmik, Ayesha Raza Mishra and Abhay Kaul, the film revolves around a multigenerational family coming together at their Nani’s house for the festive season.
Set against the backdrop of a Diwali gathering, the trailer introduces a household filled with different personalities, conversations and the usual chaos that comes with having an extended family under one roof. Rohini Hattangadi plays Nani, whose house becomes the centre of the family gathering. The trailer brings together several generations, with the characters navigating their relationships through playful exchanges, disagreements and quieter emotional moments.
The film features an ensemble cast comprising Rohini Hattangadi, Ritwik Bhowmik, Ayesha Raza Mishra, Abhay Kaul and Tarana Raja, along with Dalai, Vikram Bakshi, Shivika Rishi, Gaurav K. Sharma, Ayuushman Ghai and Kanikka Kapur.
Meethe Mein Kya Hai marks Radhika Bansal’s debut as a writer-director. According to the makers, Bansal wrote the film in under three months and went on to direct it despite having no prior experience of working on a film set.
The film has already released two songs, 'Jagmaga' and 'Chad De,' ahead of its trailer. The latest preview further establishes its festive setting and focuses on the interactions between its characters rather than an action-driven storyline.
Presented by Utthan Capital and produced by Ajit Mohan, Meethe Mein Kya Hai is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 30. The film arrives during the Diwali season, with its story centred on a family coming together for the festivities.
