Manoj Muntashir defended his Adipurush songs on X after facing backlash. He said, “I didn't write nursery rhymes for Ram, nor qawwalis.” The writer claimed children still sing these tracks despite the film failing. He also noted that he already apologized to devotees and asked people not to challenge them.
Manoj Muntashir took to his X handle and reacted to the backlash to Mangal Rang. The writer wrote a note in Hindi, in which he stated, “Manoj Muntashir-style stunt? The country's self-proclaimed best news channel has said something as ignorant as the illiterate masses."
He defended the songs of Adipurush penned by him and stated that every child in the country sings them despite disliking the Om Raut-directed film. He stated, “My brother, I wish my stunt had been repeated in the songs of the Ramayana. Adipurush was a very bad film; the dialogues were even worse, but the songs—every child in the country sings them. Go to Shri Ayodhya sometime, and you'll hear nothing but Adipurush songs playing in every alley.”
Manoj also informed all the netizens that he has already apologised to Lord Ram devotees countless times and asked not to challenge the songs. He concluded his note by stating, “The mistake I made, I've apologised to the Ram devotees for it countless times, and forgiveness was granted, but don't challenge the songs. There was no lack of devotion, dedication, or poetry in them. I didn't write nursery rhymes for Ram, nor qawwalis. People ahead are wise; they know who's worth what. Jai Shri Ram.” (sic)
