Jennifer Lawrence confirmed she got a breast augmentation following the birth of her second child in early 2025. The actress spoke about her choices in a profile published by The Cut on Tuesday. “I want to be a sexy mom,” she said, explaining her desire to feel attractive as a mother.
Jennifer Lawrence has never been one to mince her words, and her latest candid revelation about cosmetic surgery is no exception. The Oscar-winning actress has reportedly undergone breast augmentation, admitting that looking and feeling her best as a mother is something she is actively working towards. The Hunger Games star has also been open about her interest in other cosmetic procedures, including a facelift.
In a report on Entertainment Weekly that cited a profile published by The Cut on Tuesday, Lawrence spoke about wanting to embrace her identity as a mother without giving up on feeling attractive. “I want to be a sexy mom,” she said, explaining that she wants to look put-together even when she has barely had time to get ready for the day. “At drop-off, I want to look like a woman that has her s**t together even when I’ve just woken up and don’t have my s**t together,” the actress added.
Lawrence shares two sons with her husband, art gallery director Cooke Maroney. Their first child, Cy, is four, while their younger son was born in early 2025. Following the birth of her second child, the actress had spoken candidly about considering breast augmentation. The latest The Cut profile confirms that she has since undergone the procedure.
This is not the first time Lawrence has discussed going under the knife. During an October 2025 interview with The New Yorker, the actress revealed that she was open to cosmetic surgery and was contemplating a breast augmentation. She also spoke about wanting a facelift in the future, making it clear that she was not opposed to exploring procedures as she grew older. “Believe me, I’m gonna [get one]!” she declared while discussing a potential facelift.
In a Vogue interview published on September 3, Jennifer Lawrence offered further insight into her approach to cosmetic treatments. While she is open to certain procedures, she admitted that her profession requires her to retain natural movement in her face. “I can’t really get very much done,” the actress said. “I need to have movement in my face - I get baby Botox, but I can’t do a lot.”
The actress also expressed reservations about fat transfers, although she was quick to clarify that she supports other people choosing the procedure. She admitted that she would love to try buccal fat removal, a cosmetic surgery that removes fat pads from the cheeks to accentuate facial bone structure. However, Lawrence believes the results would be too noticeable on her. “Because everybody would know, but just know that I want that,” she explained. Instead, the actress said she likes radiofrequency treatments, particularly because she feels she has prominent cheeks.
