Himesh Reshammiya recently praised Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar for being musically conscious during a chat with Komal Nahta. He also named Bhushan Kumar, the Taurani brothers, and Ratan Jain as producers with deep music knowledge. Himesh said, “Deepika is irreplaceable,” while noting he would love to work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Himesh Reshammiya recently had a conversation with Komal Nahta and gave some headline-worthy replies during the Rapid Fire round. He was asked to name three musically inclined producers. Himesh replied, “Mr Bhushan Kumar, the Taurani brothers (Ramesh Taurani and Kumar Taurani) and Ratan Jain. They have deep knowledge.” Incidentally, all three are associated with leading music companies. Bhushan Kumar heads T-Series, the Taurani brothers own Tips, while Ratan Jain heads Venus.

Himesh Reshammiya was then asked to name heroes who are musically conscious. He replied, “Of course, Salman Khan for sure. He’s very, very conscious and 100% Mr Akshay Kumar too.”
Interestingly, the music video of the song ‘Naam Hai Tera’ from Himesh Reshammiya’s blockbuster album Aap Kaa Surroor featured Deepika Padukone. This was before she made her blockbuster Bollywood debut in Om Shanti Om (2007). Himesh was asked whom he would cast in Deepika’s place if the song were to be made today.
Himesh Reshammiya explained, “Deepika is irreplaceable. Even then, we knew that she was going to be a superstar. A lot of people say that she started her career by featuring in my music video. But we gave breaks to many other girls. Lekin woh Deepika nahin bani. Uske banne ya na banne mein mera koi haath nahin hai.”
Finally, Himesh Reshammiya was asked to choose between Mohit Suri, Aditya Dhar and Sandeep Reddy Vanga as the director he would like to collaborate with as a music composer. Without a moment’s hesitation, he replied, “110%, I’ll choose Sandeep Reddy Vanga. I love him! He’s too good (smiles).”
