About Hanuman Ansh
Released in theatres on August 7, Hanuman Ansh traces the extraordinary spiritual journey of Lakshmi Narayan Sharma, a young boy whose life takes a different direction following a personal tragedy. Set in the early 20th century, Hanuman Ansh follows his search for answers, which gradually leads him towards devotion, renunciation and self-discovery. As he distances himself from worldly attachments, his spiritual journey takes him through several experiences that shape his beliefs and deepen his connection with Lord Hanuman.
Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the film takes a more grounded approach to its subject, focusing on the transformation of an ordinary individual into one of India's most revered spiritual figures, Neem Karoli Baba. Through its narrative, the film explores faith, compassion, sacrifice and the importance of selfless service.
