Jennifer Winget addressed online criticism after a viral video showed Parineeti Chopra allegedly ignoring her at the Shaque success party in Mumbai. Jennifer clarified the situation on Instagram, saying, "Stop the negativity and make this into something it isn't." She added that they are a team with mutual love.
Jennifer Winget and Parineeti Chopra recently celebrated the success of their web show, Shaque: Trust No One. The actresses, along with the cast and crew, attended the success bash in Mumbai. However, a video from the party drew massive criticism for Parineeti. A viral clip featured the actress allegedly ignoring her co-star Jennifer during the cake-cutting ceremony. The clip showed Jennifer standing behind her co-star. This led to netizens criticising Parineeti for allegedly not making enough space for the Shaque actress. Now, Jennifer has addressed online criticism and asked social media users to stop the negativity.
After netizens criticised Parineeti, Jennifer issued a statement on her Instagram account. Taking to her IG stories, the Shaque actress penned a note and revealed what exactly happened at the success bash. The actress requested everyone to be kinder to each other.
She further mentioned, "And stop the negativity and make this into something it isn't. I simply backed out because there was not enough space there. Pari has always been kind and loving towards me, and we have nothing but love for each other."
On a concluding note, the actress mentioned that she and Parineeti are a 'team'. According to her, there's enough room for all to shine without pulling each other down. For the unversed, Jennifer played Sakshi in the Netflix series, while Parineeti was seen as Anvita. The success party also saw Anup Soni, Harleen Sethi, Siddharth P Malhotra, Tahir Raj Bhasin, and others in attendance.
Earlier, in an exclusive interview with Zoom, Tahir praised his Shaque co-star Jennifer. The actor also mentioned that her character Sakshi is different from her TV show Beyhadh's Maya Mehrotra. "The beauty of casting is getting an experienced actor like Jennifer. She comes with a huge fanbase. Fans always try to find common threads between characters that an actor has played," he said.
Talking about the series, it revolves around Anvita whose daughter Apeksha is kidnapped from the hospital. However, she doesn't give up and keeps searching for her. Years later, she meets Jennifer's Sakshi, who has a daughter named Rhea. In the end, it is revealed that Sakshi is responsible for kidnapping Apeksha as she lost her child because of Anvita's husband Alok and her friend Shreya. Anvita's assumption that Rhea and Apeksha are the same turns out to be true.
