Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 has struck gold at the box office, breaking several records. The action entertainer directed by Nelson Dilipkumar has become a massive success, with its worldwide collection now standing at Rs 816.90 crore. The film is also closing in on Vijay's The Greatest Of All Time (The GOAT) in Tamil Nadu, where it needs another Rs 6.80 crore to surpass the film's existing record. However, Jailer 2 has started witnessing a slowdown in its daily collections, adding Rs 3.35 crore to its India net total on Day 20.
According to Sacnilk, Jailer 2 earned Rs 3.35 crore in India net collections on its 20th day, taking its domestic nett total to Rs 463.05 crore. Its India gross collection currently stands at Rs 541.65 crore. The film added another Rs 1 crore from overseas markets on Tuesday, taking its international gross earnings to Rs 275.25 crore.
With this, the Rajinikanth starrer has accumulated Rs 816.90 crore worldwide. It has also crossed the Rs 800 crore mark, becoming the first Tamil film to achieve the feat. The film has further made a mark with its Kannada-dubbed version, which has surpassed the collections of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule.
The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor to the Day 20 earnings, bringing in Rs 1.93 crore from 3,624 shows. The Hindi version collected Rs 80 lakh across 3,420 shows, while the Telugu and Kannada versions added Rs 45 lakh and Rs 17 lakh, respectively. The overall India net collection registered a marginal 1.5 percent decline compared with Monday's Rs 3.40 crore.
In Tamil Nadu, Jailer 2 has grossed Rs 210.45 crore after 18 days, according to the available state-wise figures. The film needs another Rs 6.80 crore to move past Vijay's The Greatest Of All Time (The GOAT). Achieving this milestone would add another record to the film's theatrical run.
