Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani and Executive Director Anant Ambani hosted US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor at the company's Jamnagar facilities in Gujarat on Wednesday, with discussions focusing on energy security, technology and opportunities for commercial partnerships.

The discussions covered the global energy landscape and potential partnerships across conventional and new energy, including reliable and affordable energy supplies, resilient supply chains and investments needed to meet growing demand, Reliance Industries (RIL) said in a media statement.

The two sides also explored the growing intersection of energy and digital infrastructure, including the role of dependable power supplies in supporting data centres and the expansion of the digital economy.

"The visit included wide-ranging discussions on the global energy landscape and opportunities for commercial partnerships across conventional and new energy," RIL said. It added that the exchange covered technological advances and investments required to meet growing energy demand.

Mukesh Ambani and Anant Ambani shared their perspectives on opportunities for collaboration with US companies, drawing on complementary strengths in technology, engineering and advanced manufacturing.

The interaction provided an opportunity to exchange industry perspectives and explore areas of mutual commercial interest, the company said.

During the visit, Rubio and Gor toured the Jamnagar complex, home to the world's largest refinery, and were briefed on its scale, advanced technology and integrated operations.

The officials were also briefed on Reliance's New Energy giga-factories, which are being commissioned in phases, and data centres under construction.

The tour highlighted RIL's investments across energy and digital infrastructure, alongside its advanced manufacturing and deep-tech capabilities.

The visit comes as Reliance outlines a broader vision for the Jamnagar complex beyond its established refining operations. Mukesh Ambani and Anant Ambani discussed the company's long-term plans to develop the complex as a centre for deep-tech, innovation and advanced manufacturing.

The discussions also highlighted the potential for US companies and Reliance to collaborate across technology, engineering and manufacturing, with the two sides examining areas of mutual commercial interest.

RIL said the visit provided a constructive opportunity to exchange views on the energy sector and explore potential areas of cooperation across conventional energy, new energy and digital infrastructure.

The company expressed its gratitude to Rubio and Gor for their visit.
