Premier Energies reported a 31 per cent rise in net profit to ₹462.4 crore for the September quarter. The company said this growth came from "strong operational performance, driven by growing scale and demand for high-efficiency products." Total income also jumped 38 per cent as production numbers hit record levels.
Premier Energies has posted around a 31 per cent year-on-year growth in consolidated net profit to ₹462.4 crore in the September quarter, mainly on account of "strong operational performance, driven by growing scale and demand for high-efficiency products."
The renewable energy company had clocked a net profit of ₹353.4 crore in the second quarter of preceding financial year, the company said in an exchange filing on Thursday.
During July-September FY27, the company's total income rose over 38 per cent to ₹2,656 crore, compared to ₹1,921.3 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
The company said it produced 916 mega watt (MW) solar cells achieving a record 99 per cent capacity utilisation, along with 1,199 MW solar modules and 761 MVA (megavolt amperes) of transformers during the second quarter of FY27.
The record revenue and production numbers reflect strong operational performance, driven by growing scale and demand for high-efficiency products, Premier Energies said in separate statements.
During the quarter, the company said it became the largest integrated manufacturer to have total cell capacity of 10.6 GW and module capacity of 11.1 GW.
The company's Managing Director Chiranjeev Saluja said, "The recent commissioning of our solar cell (7 GW N-type TOPCon capacity) and module facilities marks an important milestone in our growth journey and makes us well positioned to capitalise on the growing demand for high-efficiency solar products."
Hyderabad-based Premier Energies is also planning to build ingot and wafer capabilities to become an integrated player in solar manufacturing in India.
